John advises individuals, families, and their businesses with advice on income, estate, and gift tax planning. He also helps advise on the formation, taxation, and governance of structures, including trusts (both U.S. and non-U.S.), corporations, and partnerships. John has represented individuals and families at all income levels with matters including funding and liquidity, estate and gift tax return preparation, and succession planning for beneficiaries. Additionally, John has provided advice to both corporate and private clients on matters such as captive insurance planning, foreign pension plans, and legal fee deferral plans.
Prior to joining MNF Legal, John was an associate in the private client practice of a boutique trust and estate firm, where he concentrated his practice on estate planning, business succession planning, and estate and trust administration.
During law school, John externed at the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel in Chicago where he supported the Large Business and International Division with various tax controversy matters.
